Meet London Breed San Francisco's first ever Black female Mayor.
London Breed won over the Opponent in the Mayoral race. She will serve as Mayor until 2020, to finish the term of late Mayor Ed Lee, who died at 65 in December.
In a news conference Breed aged 43 applauded Lee and thanked her cohorts,
She said that I am hopeful about the future of the city and I am looking ahead to serve as the Mayor of the city and its people. I am truly humbled and honored.
She continued saying that whether you people have voted for me or not I will be your mayor always.
Breed won by 2177 votes She was born and raised in London.
Leno a Democrat called London Breed a Remarkable young woman.
Breed was a student graduated from the University of California, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. She later earned a masters degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.
Just after the demised Mayor Lee’s death took the seat as acting Mayor, making herself as the first black female chief executive. Later Board of supervisors voted to remove Breed from the temporary position surprisingly that outraged Afro-American supporters.
